About Us

I’m Jeff Rogowski, owner of J & S Auto Buff on Wheels and J & S Vinyl Designs.

I started in the automotive appearance and accessories business in October 1983 as an installer. From rustproofing, paint protection, detailing, car / truck accessories, remote starts, vehicle graphics and window tinting. Due to several friends requests, I started a part time mobile detailing business based in Lombard, IL. in 1984, J & S Auto Buff on Wheels.

Moving to Wilmington, IL in 1988 I continued to service my clients in the suburbs for many years. In 2000 I expanded my part time automotive detailing business to now include window tinting, mainly servicing car dealers. As things progressed I obtained a physical location at 205 School St, in Wilmington, IL.

As the popularity of graphics grew so did the requests. I was referred to a local graphics business and developed a great relationship, filling my customers’ needs. She eventually relocated, and I ventured into the business of J & S Vinyl Designs in March 2005. From then I was able to do CAD cut vinyl lettering / graphics, decorated apparel and dye sublimation. Including key tags, mugs, plaques, coasters, coozies and much more, all in-house.

Over the past 20+ years J & S Auto Buff on Wheels has specialized in window tinting, detailing, remote starts, and breathalyzer installation & service (Intoxalock). Striving to keep a personalized relationship with all.

J & S Vinyl Designs has evolved through the years with several upgrades, particularly in digital printing. The ability to print small decals for a matchbox car, four foot wide banners, and various decals still amazes me.

I am, and always be grateful for those who I have had the luxury to serve. I’m especially indebted to those who have recommended my service to others and those who keep patronizing me. Because of this I have been able to continue on and relocate to 904 E. Baltimore (RT 53) on November 29, 2021 due to the sale of the school street location.

I intend to keep on serving Wilmington and surrounding communities. For those that remember, the new location is the old Lombardi Chevy car wash. It is across from the now Arnie Bauer Chevrolet and across the street from the Gemini Giant / Launching Pad. I share the building with Freedom Ambulance Service who occupies the front of the building and I the rear section.

We now have a customer waiting area and merchandise available to purchase along with displays. We have unique custom key wristlets and jewelry that are made in conjunction of my wife Sandy and myself. All made in-house.
